The problem

Every supplier feed looks different.

One wholesaler sends XML with <product_code>, another a semicolon CSV with Greek column names, a third a dropshipping feed with variations nested inside each product. Generic importers expect you to build a template for each one, and the work starts again whenever stock or prices change.

How FeedPup handles it

Safe for an existing store

FeedPup only creates and updates products it imported and linked. It never deletes WooCommerce products, and if a supplier SKU already exists in your store, the new product gets a unique SKU suffix instead of overwriting yours. The connection is product-only: it never requests customers, orders, checkout or payment data.

Answers

What is the best plugin to import supplier XML into WooCommerce?

It depends on the feed and how often it changes. General importers such as WP All Import give you full template control for one-off or complex imports. If a supplier XML or CSV feed must stay in sync, FeedPup suggests the field mapping, tests 100 draft products free and then updates prices and stock on a schedule.

How do I automatically update supplier stock and prices in WooCommerce?

Connect the supplier’s XML or CSV feed URL in FeedPup, confirm the field mapping and import the products. On a paid plan, FeedPup then re-reads the feed every 24, 6 or 2 hours and updates stock quantity, prices and the other fields you selected. Runs with no supplier changes make no product writes.

Is there a WP All Import alternative for supplier feeds?

Yes. FeedPup is an alternative when the job is a recurring supplier product feed rather than general WordPress content. Instead of building an import template and cron schedule yourself, you confirm AI-suggested field matches, preview real products, test up to 100 drafts free, and FeedPup runs the scheduled sync as a hosted service.

  6. Import and sync. On a paid plan, run the full import; prices and stock then sync on your plan’s schedule.

Who it’s for

Is FeedPup the right tool?

Good fit

WooCommerce stores that list products from one or more suppliers, resellers and dropshipping stores whose supplier sends an XML or CSV feed, and agencies that set up supplier imports for clients.

Probably not needed

If you add a handful of products by hand and your supplier prices and stock rarely change, WooCommerce’s built-in CSV product importer may be enough.

Common questions

WooCommerce questions.

How do I import products from a supplier XML or CSV feed into WooCommerce?

Install the free plugin, open WooCommerce > FeedPup and connect, paste the supplier feed URL or upload a CSV, confirm the suggested field mapping, preview the products and run the free draft test import. A full import is one click after that on a paid plan.

Can FeedPup update stock and prices automatically?

Yes, on a paid plan with a feed URL. Scheduled syncs update stock quantity, prices and the fields you selected: every 24 hours on Starter, every 6 hours on Growth and every 2 hours on Pro. The free Basic plan has no scheduled sync.

Does it work with dropshipping or wholesaler feeds?

Yes, as long as the supplier provides an XML or CSV/TSV product feed. FeedPup does not need a supplier-specific integration; it reads the feed’s own field names and suggests mappings you confirm.

Will it overwrite products already in my store?

No. FeedPup creates and updates only the products it imported and linked, and it never deletes WooCommerce products. If a supplier SKU already exists, the new product gets a unique SKU suffix.

Can I import a CSV file instead of a URL?

Yes, up to 5 MB. An uploaded file is a snapshot, so automatic sync needs a feed URL that your supplier keeps updated.

Does it support variable products?

Yes. FeedPup imports simple and variable products with their variations and attributes. It uses WooCommerce’s standard stock quantity; multi-location inventory extensions are not integrated.
