Joomla and HikaShop
The step-by-step guide, the download and the Joomla prices are on the Joomla page. This is the short version.
Install
Download com_feedpup 1.0.1. In Joomla Administrator, open System, Install, Extensions, and upload the zip. Then open Components, FeedPup. The installer requires PHP 8.1 or newer. The component targets Joomla 4.4, 5 and 6.
HikaShop
You need HikaShop Business 6.6.0 or later, with the Connector API on a public HTTPS address. In HikaShop, open System, App Devices, and create a pairing code with read and write access. The operator needs permission to view and manage products. The code works once.
Connect FeedPup
Paste the API URL and the pairing code into the FeedPup component and choose Connect to FeedPup. Then use Open FeedPup. The component does not store the supplier feed. The feed stays on FeedPup.
XML and CSV
Connect an XML feed by URL. A CSV or TSV file can be uploaded. An upload is a one-time snapshot and is not scheduled. Scheduled sync is for a supplier URL on a paid Joomla plan.
Mapping, import and sync
Confirm the field mapping before the first write. The Free test creates up to 100 unpublished products and does not run a schedule. Starter is €34.90 every 3 months or €99 a year: one supplier, 1,000 products and a daily sync. Growth is €69.90 every 3 months or €199 a year: three suppliers, 10,000 products and a sync every 6 hours. Prices are stored tax-excluded. Stock is the quantity from the feed. FeedPup updates a product it created and leaves a different product with the same SKU unchanged.
Variants
A product with options is not imported. A HikaShop product that already has variants is not updated. The run reports the reason. Version 1.0.1 does not write variant prices, stock or SKUs.
Subscription
The extension file is free, under the GPL. The hosted sync service is separate. The Free test does not expire, and it is not a full catalog sync. Paid Joomla plans are every 3 months or once a year. There is no monthly price. In the FeedPup app, checkout currently starts the yearly plan. 3-month billing is being added to in-app checkout; email contact@weareplano.gr to be moved to it when it is live. Common messages
- The API address must be public https, with no query string.
- The pairing code must come from HikaShop, System, App Devices, and it must include write access.
- FeedPup requires HikaShop Business 6.6.0 or later.
- If FeedPup can no longer access HikaShop, pair the shop again from Components, FeedPup.
- A product that already uses the SKU is left unchanged.
- A product with options is reported and is not partly written.
Disconnect from the component before you uninstall it. Disconnecting, or uninstalling, does not delete products already in HikaShop.
