How to import XML products into Wix Stores

By the FeedPup team at PLANO · Updated

Your supplier sends an XML link. Wix’s built-in product import uses its own CSV format, as described in the Wix product import guide. FeedPup connects the two, so you can review supplier products in plain language before they reach your store.

The simple version

Can you upload an XML file to Wix?

Not as a product import. Wix’s Help Center says it is not possible to import your store from another platform using an XML file, and the built-in product import accepts only Wix’s own CSV template. That leaves two routes: convert the supplier XML into the Wix product CSV template yourself, or use an app that reads the supplier’s XML feed and writes products to Wix for you.

Turn a supplier XML feed into products you can review.

Supplier feeds do not all use the same field names or structure. When an import tool expects one fixed layout, a feed with different names for product title, price, stock or options can be hard to map. FeedPup reads the supplier feed, shows the product details it recognizes and lets you confirm where each field belongs.

You stay in control: check the suggested mapping, inspect the preview and try a small draft import before starting a full catalog import.

Fetch. Map. Sync.

Import a supplier XML feed into Wix in five steps

01

Get the feed link

Copy the XML feed URL from your supplier portal. If you cannot find it, ask the supplier for the product feed link and its update schedule.

02

Connect FeedPup to Wix

Open FeedPup from the Wix App Market, connect your Wix store and paste the supplier’s feed URL.

03

Review product fields

Check the examples FeedPup finds for product name, ID or SKU, price, stock, images and options. Confirm any field that needs your attention.

04

Preview products and variants

Check the parent product and its options, prices and stock. If the supplier uses separate rows for variants, confirm the grouping and option fields before continuing.

05

Test, then import

Try up to 100 products as hidden drafts. Review them in Wix, then choose whether to import the full catalog. On a supported paid plan, FeedPup can sync a supplier URL on its plan schedule. See how scheduled stock and price sync works.

Parent product + variants

Review the product family before import.

A supplier may represent color or size choices as variant rows. FeedPup groups rows when the feed provides a stable product-group field, then shows the parent product and individual variants in the preview. Map the option names and values clearly; review a warning if option details are missing.

Common questions

Wix XML import questions.

Can I upload an XML file to Wix?

Not as a product import. Wix Stores imports products only from its own CSV template, and Wix says importing a store with an XML file is not possible. Convert the XML into the Wix CSV template, or use an app such as FeedPup that reads the supplier XML feed.

Is a supplier XML feed the same as a Wix RSS feed?

No. The Wix RSS feed is an XML file Wix publishes for your blog posts. A supplier XML product feed is a file or link your supplier publishes with products, prices and stock. FeedPup imports supplier product feeds, not RSS.

Can Wix import a supplier XML feed directly?

Wix Stores' built-in product import uses a Wix-formatted CSV file. FeedPup connects to a supplier XML feed and sends the reviewed product data to your Wix store through its Wix integration.

Do I need to understand XML or write code?

No. Copy the feed link your supplier provides, paste it into FeedPup, and review the product details and field matches in the app.

Will products be published immediately?

No. Review the mapping and preview first. You can test up to 100 products as hidden drafts before you choose a full import.

Can FeedPup keep prices and stock updated?

You can choose which product fields FeedPup syncs. Eligible plans include scheduled supplier-feed synchronization and price and stock rules.

What if my supplier feed has product variants?

FeedPup can group related variant rows under a parent product when the feed has a stable grouping field and the variant options are mapped. Review the product preview and any warnings before importing.
